1 DESCRIPTION
Carl Beekhuizen works on difficult, underspecified technical problems — the ones where the bottleneck spans several layers at once and no established playbook applies. The method is to locate the real constraint first, then build the abstraction, experiment or architecture that makes it tractable.
Seven years at the Ethereum Foundation, carrying work from early research through specification, implementation, deployment and operation. The domain was cryptography and distributed consensus; the work was systems engineering.
